After viewing Cans 1 back in May, one Bristol lad fancied a bit of that for himself and set about organising the first ever ‘Upfest‘ (“The Urban Paint Festival”). The basic premise is that for 12 hours on Sunday October 19 a selection of national and international graff and street artists will descend onto the Tobacco Factory in Brizzle for a day of painting, hip hop, drinking and fundraising, nice.
To see the full list of artists (although i’ve heard they’re not publishing a couple of the more high profile ones, tis a surprise), along with itineraries and general Upfest info check out their slick new site here.
