G-Shock celebrates its Europe-wide 30th anniversary this year, concluding with the final of the G-SESSIONS project in Berlin on 28th November.
A creative ambassador from Milan, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, St Petersburg, London and Berlin was selected and each of these joined junior creatives to collaborate on a multidisciplinary project, to produce a watch that design based on their own personal style and influence of the city they live in.
There were no limitations imposed on each of the teams and this meant that they could create anything from a song to an artwork or video clip to live installations or even a dance performance.
Prior to the Berlin event, all of the models will be put out there for the public vote and the winning concept and watch will be produced in a special limited edition run.
Voting began on 28th October and you can get involved, with a chance to win a trip to Berlin and VIP tickets to the event by placing your vote.
The Spirit of Toughness Award will be presented to the most successful creative team at the final event. Kikuo Ibe, the inventor of G-SHOCK, will be around to personally celebrate with all the participants.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of G-SHOCK the event promises an outstanding live music program from the likes of esteemed Hip Hop DJs Eskeji 83 and Stylewarz, with renowned former label owner Staiger stepping in as MC for the night.
