As part of a raft of activity that East London’s Forster gallery are undertaking as part of their contribution to Scope Art Fair at Lords cricket ground this week, they’ve released a new print from scene stalwart Andrew McAttee.
From an edition of just 50, Galactica can be picked up for £450 at the fair. It is a multi layered silkscreen giclee print on art paper, 35 x 35 cm, 14 x 14 in each panel.

We’ve been looking for an excuse to speak to the talented Mr McAttee for a little while now. Fortunately for us he’s a very busy man so we haven’t had to wait long, read our interview after the jump.
You can catch his work on show currently as part of the Stolen Space gallery group show.

I know, i know, it’s not necessarily wholly street art or graf related, but we thought you might like to know about a good little show opening at Forster Gallery tonight (July 10). Focusing on Denmark’s Henrik Simonsen, while also presenting work from the rest of the gallery’s talented rostrum of artists (Andrew McAttee, Xenz, James Roper, Zebedee Helm, Carrie Reichart and Matthew McGuinness), it’s definitely a show not to be missed.
The ‘private view’ is tonight so no doubt there’ll be free drinks flying around if your in the area. Check Forster Gallery out here for address, etc.

For the first competition from UK Street Art we’ve teamed up with Stolen Space gallery to offer two lucky people the chance to go take a guest to the private (buyers and press only) view for their group show next Thursday July 17.
So, if you fancy clapping your eyes on new work from the likes of Vitche, Vhils, Jana, Word To Mother, Shepard Fairey, Andrew McAttee and Michael Leavitt before anyone else, email us at - competitions@ukstreetart.co.uk. Please write ‘Stolen Space Competition’ in the subject line.
We’ll be picking the 2 names on Wednesday July 16.

Brick Lane’s finest, Stolen Space, have announced the line-up for their summer show. Kicking off on July 17, the show will feature new works from Shepherd Fairey, Word To Mother, Andrew McAttee, Vhils, Vitche and Jana - not bad, not bad at all.
We’ll have interviews with all of the artists shortly so check back the week leading up to the show for those. Over the next couple of days we’ll also be running a competition to win a couple of tickets to the show’s opening (private) party so be sure to check back for that too.
