I popped down to the Stolen Space gallery on Osborn Street tonight for a look around Miss Van’s new show “Glamorous Darkness” and was surprised to have the gallery to myself as I took a look around. For those of you who don’t know, I’m a huge fan of her work and this show didn’t disappoint.

Huge pieces, all hand-painted of course, were on offer and the work maintains the ‘poupées’ aesthetic she has become famous for. The dolls are mixed with a darker sense and according to the SS website, her muses pose in an ‘ambient nature, singing or interacting with each other. They emerge from their loosely painted backgrounds like visions or dreams’

The show is on display until 1st June, so if you’re in the area or coming to London be sure to check it out – you won’t regret it!
