Untitled. Street Art In The Counterculture: book review

Barely a week goes past without the release of yet another street art book and those of any merit are often few and far between. Skilled photography, maps and artist biographies are now well-trodden paths and publications are beginning to realise that a little should be offered to today’s increasingly discerning reader, thankfully ‘Untitled‘ does just this.

Patrick Potter’s comical but quite cynical words gently probe and provoke the reader throughout on areas such as advertising, hype, society, urban life, rebellion, legislation and other street art related topics and it’s this editorial that sets the book apart from the current spate of pretenders. Complimenting the commentary with an array of photographs of international work by every artist from Banksy to Bast, Dolk to Doze Green and everyone in-between, this very current publication is a very good read. Grab it from the Untitled site here or from Fusshop here.

Check out a selection of spreads from the book after the jump.
